Vinko Tica was born on November 21st, 1951, in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Hercegovina). He attended elementary school in Šibenik, and secondary school in Zadar; he studied in the town of Novi Sad (without graduating). Vinko Tica lives and works in Ljubljana (Slovenia) since 1974. Temporarily, he lives also in Poreč.
Painting was his passion since he was very young. For over 20 years, he works as a painting mentor for psychotherapeutic purposes in Organisations for Psychosocial Help in Ljubljana and Sežana.
