Đurđica Horvat

Đurđica HorvatĐurđica Horvat was born on 28 May 1961 in Rijeka. Her medium of choice are ceramics and glass. She has been exhibiting since 1991. In 1994 she graduated figurative art studies from the Author's School of Art (AGORA) in the class of Prof. Ivan Kožarić. She has displayed her works at some fifteen solo exhibitions and at numerous selected and concepted national and international exhibitions, whereshe recived special awards, recognitions and acclaims. She has also been commended for her exceptional contribution to Croatioan culture. She has participated at various art colonies, at home and abroad – Hinko Juhn – Našice, SOS Children's Village Lekenik, Ex Tempore Volosko, Ex Tempore Vodnjan, Sinji Vrh – Ajdovščina/Slovenia, Raku – Langesfeld/Austria – and some she has even headed. She is a number of the Croatian Association of Artists of Applied Arts (ULUPUH), the Croatian Artist's Cooperation (LIKUM) and the Croatian Freelance Artist's Association (HZSU). She is currently the head of the ULUPUH  Section of Ceramics, Glass and Porcelain. She works at the KEST Studio in Zagreb and lives in Velika Mlaka.
